Now you don't have to stock up on decorative scissors and trimmer blades! Now you can create decorative edges on your paper by just turning the dial with the We R Makers Dial Trimmer! The dial trimmer features six blade options perforate, wave, deckle, scallop, score and cut. Included in the package is one dial trimmer that will cut through cardstock that is up to 12" in length when you use the extended arm giving you accurate alignment and measurements.
This item doesn't cut through paper easily at all. It's horrible! Don't buy it.
It's very disappointing. I really wanted to love this product. It is just terrible. You have to apply pressure and not just slide the blade to get a cut. The wave design/cut is much smaller than I imagined. I don't find the cuts to be very clean and hard to line up to make a precise cut. I was hoping it would replace my other trimmer, but nope, it's only use will be decorative borders when I don't feel like using my cricut. Although, most of the time even with pressure I can't get it to cut all the way through in places. Complete waste of money!
I like the perforated blade, but not sure this is a practical function for me.
I should have read the reviews before I bought this. I usually love the WeR products, and was beyond excited about this cutter. But this is really bad. I have not been able to get any of the 6 blades to cut even thin cardstock. I've tried all sorts of paper and the blades pretty much shred the papers. I've made sure the cutter was on a solid table when I cut, but nope. Doesn't matter. I'll keep trying different because I'm stubborn. But I'm really sorry I bought this.
While the idea is great and the product itself is good quality, it doesn't cut through good quality cardstock without exerting a LOT of pressure on the blade. The lip at the top of the blade is too deep, so the blade doesn't really reach the paper. The cut is not bad at the bottom of the trimmer where there is more give in the various parts, but all in all it's not an easy cutter to use and doesn't really do what it was designed to do.
I'm loving my new Dial Trimmer. It cuts through printed paper so easily. Just like any rotary trimmer, it takes a little pressure to cut through heavier cardstock but I love the convenience of the blade variety. I no longer have to change out the blades like I did with my old rotary cutter. Now I just dial and cut!
I'd been reading reviews on this awhile and despite lots of negative ones, I decided to buy it because 1) the idea is cool, and 2) WRMemory Keepers makes very clever products and I wondered if it was really that bad why it was still on the market.
So I tried it, and it works great for cutting with gentle, even pressure applied as you slide the blade down. It worked a LOT better than the interchangeable ruler/blade system I'd bought instead of this a few months ago. My only concern is that the 2 plastic bars holding the paper down don't lift up fully, so you have to lift them partially with your fingers. That's fine for large pieces of paper but for narrow ones it's harder to get the cut pieces out. Still, it keeps the paper from sliding around and that's good.
Overall I'm glad I got this! I plan to take it to crops as it's light and portable.
I was worried buying this because of the reviews, but I love it. Bring it down with even firm pressure and it cuts perfect every time. So I'm glad I gave it a chance.
I have played with this for over an hour. 9 times out of ten it doesn't cut, and then it doesn't cut straight when it does finally cut. No substance to body. Tried cutting 3 different weights paper. No good. I have many WRMK toys and have never been so unhappy with a product before. Opening the package the center "runner" wasn't even attached to unit. It was flopping around the box.
Disappointed that this was my first order from Scrapbook.com ... I called their customer service with a question and had to leave a message. The recording said someone would call me back. Have not heard back. Unfortunately I won’t be inclined to order from them again.
I was so disappointed that you can't lift the arm that holds the paper in place. It don't seem to cut as well as other brands. Otherwise I have always been happy with the products from Memory Keepers. I would have sent it back but postage is so expensive now.
