This Ornate Christmas 2 piece die set is part of the Paper Panda Collection designed by Louise and Ryan Firchau for Creative Expressions. This set gives you 2 dies, the cut out design complete with words, and a frame to sit behind it. This high quality steel die will make a wonderful card front or a decoration. This die set is compatible with leading die cutting machines (sold separately). The largest die measures 5.63" x 4.13" and the smallest measures 5.5" x 3.88".
I fell in love with this die when I first saw it. However, I tried using it today for the first time. Yes, it cuts well (I recommend running it through your machine twice) BUT there are over 150 little bits to punch out - it took me almost 45 minutes to do one. Then when you finally get all the bits out, the die cut is slightly misshapen due to all the handling. I’m hoping a slight press of a dry iron will help. I tried using a sheet of wax paper on one cut to see if that would help pull out the small pieces but it made it worse.
If you think this lovely die cut is worth all that time and trouble, I would recommend it for its beauty. For me, had I known I would not have purchased it.
Excellent quality product at a reasonable price. Makes a beautiful card Cuts so nicely and looks beautiful. Fabulous for quick cards.
This is my first attempt at making cards. I received the die and I'm anxious to try it. I didn't realize I had ordered the large die and I wish I would have ordered the small one. I'll see how this goes. I'm cropping in a week so we will see. Thanks for the order and it really came fast.
