This Stencil Butter color is so pretty and it will make a very good Mardi Gras purple color, which is what I was hoping it would be. I already have the green and gold butters to go with it to complete the three main colors of Mardi Gras. Red is sometimes added as a fourth color to the other three. I prefer the green, gold and purple in metallic finish and this Stencil Butter fills the bill for that. I'm very happy with this purchase.

How thick does the cardstock need to be to use this product? Any tips are gratefully received. Thank you

When using Stencil Butter, it's best to have a surface that will hold up to "wet" media, like watercolor paper. Cardstock can be used, just don't load the surface up with a lot of Stencil Butter. "Less is more" in this case, and the thicker the cardstock, the better!

Stencil Butter is a creamy type of modeling paste that won't seep under your stencils. It has the consistency of room temperature butter, spreadable but not drippy!
