It's a stapler. The best thing about this tool is it can reach into the middle of a 12X12 layout. There are also a large variety of staples available; different colors and designs to include Disney. The worst thing about this tool is it won't set regular staples, so you have to have two staplers on hand. The cute little staples will add a nice accent to almost any page. It will take a little patience and practice to get the staples exactly where you want them. I know some have bought the staples and used a foam pad to push them into the paper and then a set of pliers to bend the prongs. I tried this and I would much rather use the Fastenater, it is quicker and easier. This is a good buy if you are looking to expand you embellishing options, but it is not a must have.
Practice is what it takes to get the Staple Bars in the right place. I also had to practice applying just the right pressure to the handle so the bar prongs would bend correctly in the back of my work. The staples aren't strong enough to go through multiple layers of cardstock so don't even go there. The variety of designs on the Staple Bars is nice but I find myself using the same "Slots" Fascinator Decorative Staple Bars over and over because I can add ribbon to layouts and cards in a more creative way. I gave it five stars because it does work once you get the hang of it and there's nothing else like it.

I got my stapler at Christmas. I love it! It's so easy to use! I love how you can go anywhere on the paper and it can reach easily. The staples that come with it are so cool. I also like how the punch is on the front, so its easy to punch and doesn't need that much pressure.

I was so excited to see this product when it first came out. It seemed so easy but it was definately a challenge for me. I was ready to give up but decided I would spend some extra time with it and am very happy I did. It does take some practice but once you get the hang of it, you'll find this is a very veristile product. I am always looking for good deals on the staples because I'd like to use it much more.
I'm not sure if I am using this tool correctly or not, but I just can't seem to get the staples to be where I want them to be. I have decided it is a fine product when precision isn't required, but I do wish it was more controllable. I haven't found the page stop to be terribly helpful. There are a multitude of wonderful fastenator staples to work with and the fastenator remover works like a charm, which are both good points. It will stay in my stash, but I don't use it as often as I thought I would.

I like the idea, but it takes some attention to get the staples fastened correctly. sometimes a prong will bend out of shape and not go through, ruining the staple and the page.
I've had this a while and never played with it until recently. I was very disappointed. The staples are hard to line up and if you make a mistake removing the staples leaves ugly holes on your paper. I also found the stapler didn't set consitently everytime. One staple would be even and the next not quite level. Maybe with more practive I'll catch on, but right now I'd rather take the time to set some pretty eyelets or brads.
I bought this tool almost as soon as it came out, and had problems with it from the very first time I tried to use it. It is very difficult to get the staples to line up properly, and if you're going through more than one layer of paper or trying to staple through ribbon, the chances of it jamming are very high. I love the idea of the decorative staple bars, but do not like this tool as an applicator.
