I bought a bunch of staples during an 80%off sale and then had to start shoppig for the stapler. I purchased this one. It's an adorable pink and works really well for me. It's easy to load and reload and the numerous choices of staple makes it a great tool for adding extra embellishments.

I always wondered about this scrapbooking "stapler". Numerous times it has appeared on posts about "tools you don't use" or "things you regret buying". But I got a used one and only had to buy the special staples. I finally got around to using it and found myself saying "WOW this is so easy to use and looks WAY COOL!" I can't wait to use it to hold ribbon in place and to jazz up cards.
The staples seem expensive but I think it's because they are so condensed in the package. Even at full retail they can be as cheap as 3 cents each.
and I must say for a "way to add bling to your page" tool this has got to be one of the easiest. No punching holes, no hammering, no bending prongs, no having to fit tiny prongs into holes, the Fastenater does it all for you.
PS There is a learning curve getting the staples where you want them but the staples are sturdy enough that you can reposition them by hand if you need to.
I love the fact that this has a long reach and can staple anywhere even on a 12" layout! The staple bars come in such a large variety that you can find them to match almost any design, color, or theme making this tool useful for pretty much any layout! They work alone as just an embellishment for a page, or are a useful way to attach things to your layout. I like the idea of using the staple bars as an alternative to photo corners, regular staples, and plain adhesives. Works great to attach vellum or transparancies to pages when other adhesive methods look tacky and show through. I also really like to use it to attach ribbon and other borders. I don't think you will regret purchasing this--it will add variety to your pages!
Practice is what it takes to get the Staple Bars in the right place. I also had to practice applying just the right pressure to the handle so the bar prongs would bend correctly in the back of my work. The staples aren't strong enough to go through multiple layers of cardstock so don't even go there. The variety of designs on the Staple Bars is nice but I find myself using the same "Slots" Fascinator Decorative Staple Bars over and over because I can add ribbon to layouts and cards in a more creative way. I gave it five stars because it does work once you get the hang of it and there's nothing else like it.

The EK Success Fastenator Decorative Stapler is a wonderful alternative to using standard, small and plain staples. This tool is super easy to use and refill.
The staples come in a wide assortment of colors and designs. They even make slotted staples, which you could run ribbon through.
The Fastenator has so much potential for making amazing, creative layouts. Use the staples on paper, tags, ribbon, and so much more!
I have had my Fastenater for quite some time now but only opened it yesterday to use on some recipe cards I'm working on.
I love it, very easy to use and I like the idea of the slider so you know where the staples will be placed on your work. It adds just the right touch to layouts!

I never knew how many things you could do with one of these things until I bought one. Oh, my. I don't have room here for the list of things I can do with this. I wish I had bought one ages ago.
This is so great, easy to use and get a lovely result! It`s easy to find out the position on the stapel. Gives a good acsess to every "corner" of the Lo.

I've looked at the Fastenater several times, but always passed it over, thinking of all the other things I "needed" that were less expensive, and that I would use more frequently. But today, with my 30% off coupon, I thougt, OK--this really would be fun to have! It uses wide staples that come in a great variety of colors and patterns, from pastels, to primaries, from animal prints, and black & white patterns--they really are such a fun and different way to adhere things to layouts! Or, you can just staple them randomly for a fun embellishment to any layout. Because of its size, you can use the Fastenater on any 12x12 layout , or, since staples are a relatively small embellishment, they go great on cards, too! I can't say I couldn't live without this tool, but now that I have one, I'm so glad I do!
