I wanted to add embossing to the cards I make but after just spending $150 on a Cricut I didn't want to spend another $90 on a Cuttlebug. I found this Fiskars ShapeBoss at Michaels and thought I'd give it a try. Mine came with a different stencil but it's very quick and easy to use and the embossed images look great.

I do not yet own the shapeboss, but I used my friends recently and fell in love with it. For someone just getting into embossing that wants to add just that right touch to a bare corner or solid cardstock can do so with this pretty inexpensive tool. Easy to use, lightweight, and effective.

I love my shapeboss...especially for all the little things that fiskars thought about. I love how easy it is to use. It's quite simple to make things classy and elegant without a lot of time and effort. Embossing and no light box required. Also, i really appreciate the fact that everything stores inside of it. One of the smallest things i love is that it stores so easily. It's flat and it has the holes on the back so if you wanted to you could put it on the wall to store....perfect for us with itsy bitsy scrap rooms :)
What I like about my ShapeBoss is that I can use it to do some really deep embellishing with nice crisp edges, but I can also use the templates as true stencils....just trace the design and cut it out. I use them as embellishments. Some of the designs are a bit too tedious to try to hand cut, but most of them work great (like flourishes for example.)
I love this it stores so many of my stencils that i have bought for this product and friskars has alot to choose from. With just one of thier stencils you can easily make many different designs that are endless, i recommend this to everyone that loves embossing or even different styles to add to your scrapbooks you will love this i know i do!!!
It's versatile, easy to use, especially on the go and makes fun or elegant designs on LO's or cards. Add a bit of chalk and you have a fabulous look w/o alot of work.

This is a great item! Very easy to follow directions and nice tool included.
This is so easy to use, it's practicly impossible to screw up. I opened the box this weekend, and within half an hour I had finished a page that was LOADED with embossing. After you emboss, you can flip the paper (and stencil) over, and ink or chalk the area to make it stand out even more. It is not difficult at all to turn out great things that look extremly well put together.

I love my fiskars shapeboss! There are many cool templates to use with it and I got 2 different double ended stylus tools for a total of 4 different sized stylus tips for varying definition and detail. Easy and fun to use and slim, hinged design makes storage a breeze not only for the unit itself but all of its components as well

This system is useful for me, because I had all kinds of embossing tools and sometimes I just needed some inspiration. Table is great for lining things up
