This Metallic Gold Ink Pad is part of the Make It Merry Collection from Honey Bee Stamps. This ink pad features pigment ink that is opaque and slow drying. This ink can be used as an embossing ink. This ink is permanent on most paper and porous surfaces. This ink is archival, acid-free, and fade-resistant. The raised pad design makes it perfect for inking up all sizes of stamps. This stamp pad measures 3.5" x 2.5". There is a reinker available for this ink pad. This ink pad is made in the USA.
I actually really love the colour of Honey Bee Gold Ink and I purchased the re-inker as well thinking that I would be set for a very long time. The colour itself is a gorgeous brushed, antique gold that I have used on several of my projects. It is the ink pad that seems to be the problem and not holding out nearly as well as many of its competitors. Strands and small chunks of the ink pad material have been coming apart or off of the box and I haven’t had it in use for that long. Despite the uniqueness and versatility of the colour, I am unlikely to purchase this product again. Too bad as the brilliancy of projects with the gold really make the project pop.
