I love this little distresser. I had previously purchased the MM distressor which was fine but did not do the job I had wanted it to. My mom had picked up the HS one and I was hooked. It gave me a great edge the first time I ran it across a page. I did find that if you use it too forcefully or if I don't hold my paper right that it can tear a little bit, but that just added to the distressed look for me so it wasn't a big deal. And, for the price - you can't beat it!
I love this little distresser. Like all of heidi swapp products the quality is fantastic. The tool fits easily into your hand and runs along the edge of your page with little hassle. If you apply too much pressure, it will make like tears in your page, but I did this on purpose for a layout and it turned out wonderfully. This is a must have if you like to make cards. The distressed look will add dimension to any of your projects, and it's pink. How can you go wrong?
This little tool is the handiest thing! The little slice cut out for the paper to fit into makes it a breeze to swipe it up and down the edges. The gunky paper doesn't clog it up either. That means no more rips or tears from a slip of the distresser! Might I also add this means no more sliced fingers from a pair of scissors? The distresser is small and compact as well and fits perfectly into the smallest craft idea envelopes. A definite must for any toolkit!
This is a great edge distresser for beginners who are trying to distress the edges of their papers. Like previous reviewers said, if using thinner paper you do need to work on smaller sections of paper in order to prevent extreme tears that aren't intended. I haven't used it on any other material other than paper, but I think that's all it's intended for. I love it! Works beautifully on cardstock! It's only $1, you can't lose!
The edge distresser is a disk with a razor blade inside it. Scraping it along the edge of your paper gives you a variety of looks, depending on the pressure you apply, the angle you scrape it at, and even whether you're altering dry or wet paper. There are lots of ways to distress paper, and this little tool just adds another dimension to your products. And for the price, it just can't be beat!
This little tool is so light and easy to use. You simply rub it back and forth along the edge of your paper and you are left with a nice, distressed edge to ink or leave as-is. It is much safer to use than the edge of your scissors, and won't take up much room in your crop bag.

I edge distressed every single one of my 3-peice -wedding invitations and they turned out beautiful!!! Yes, it is just razor blade protected with a peice of plastic to run along side the edge of your cardstock,,, but for 99 CENTS, thank you for doing the work Heidi! :)

I have the Making Memories distresser too but this one is much better the circular design makes it easy to use. I found that I had more control using it. Also, if you go over an area a couple of times it distresses paper without ripping the paper.
I love this little distresser! First, it's cute as can be - in a lovely shad of pink. Second, it fits in my hand perfectly! Third - it does a fabulous job of distressing paper and chipboard edges. I would highly recommend this to anyone!
I love this little guy sooo much! I think I have used it on every page since I bought it. It is so easy to use, and it creates the perfect distressed look to any paper project you are working on. The price is great too! :)
