Heidi Swapp chipboard alphabets should be a staple in every scrapbooker's stash! These handy letters are easy to paint and otherwise alter, so you can feel comfortable buying them in any color.
Heidi Swapp chipboard alphabets contain plenty of those frequently used characters, so one pack goes a long way. Just as this product's name suggests, these letters command attention with their wonderfully classic sans-serif typeface (which is both tall & condensed).
To keep these alphabets sticking for years to come, you might want to add a little of your favorite adhesive before applying the letter to the page.
I love the way these look and the ease of using them. There are enough of each letter so I don't worry about running out of the product after one or two pages. The weight is just right and they are so easy to alter! You can paint them, distress them, just about anything them.
The caveat is that the adhesive on them is useless. Don't even think about trying to use the adhesive without outside help. I used Glue Dots (the mini size) and that worked fine, but without another adhesive you just end up with letters falling off all over the place. For me this is a small price for such a good looking embellishment. Still, I can't give it a perfect rating.
As much as I love the look of Heidi Swapp products, I'm really becoming frustrated with the quality of them. I have 2 sets of these chipboard alphabets (one black, one white). On BOTH SETS, the adhesive has completely dried up (and, yes, both sets are BRAND NEW). They are supposed to be self-adhesive, but when you pull the white waxed paper off the back, the adhesive is not tacky at all. At first it looked like the old fashioned postage stamps that you had to lick. So, I tried to moisten the adhesive with a sponge. That didn't work either. I ended up gluing them down instead. I still love the way they look, the adhesive just doesn't work.
