I find it much easier when I am purchasing any stamped images to also purchase the die cuts. Lawn Fawn images are cute and I love the fact that provide so many die cut images to match their stamps. These are so easy to use.
I purchased this die set and the coordinating stamp set. Love it,Made darling cards. Fun set.
I haven't tried them but I have never been disappointed by Lawn Fawn products

What is the the best tool to use to cut the dies apart?

I just use a needle nose pliers. If they are in a small area, I use a Fiskars scissors I bought for this purpose.

In the video a die is used for the mountain. Is this mountain die in the Winter Village set?
Unfortunately no, the mountain die is not included in the Winter Village Set. It is a separate Lawn Fawn Die called "Stitched Mountain Borders". The Dies range in size from approximately: 1" x 6" - 1 1/2" x 6". It can be found at Scrapbook.com: https://www.scrapbook.com/store/lf-lf1201.html. I hope this helped in answering your question.
