This 12" x 12" double sided paper pad, Ocean, is part of the Ink Drops Collection from Craft Consortium. This paper pad is one of The Essential Craft Papers group. This gummed paper pad features 30 double sided sheets of paper in 20 designs, you get three sides of each design. These designs include ink splotches in shades of blue and green with gold streaks running through them. These designs are printed on 180 gsm paper. These papers can be used for cards, scrapbook pages, tags, journals, and other paper crafting projects. This paper is acid and lignin free.
I'm disappointed in this product. Like the black version of the paper collection, the gold is dull, grainy, and discoloured on certain pages. The paper isn't embossed (description doesn't mention that, I just thought it might be) and the gold has the same photocopied look as the black paper pad. This pad does get more stars than the other one I reviewed because this one does have some nice designs I can use. However, I still don't recommend this product, nor am I satisfied with it. I won't be purchasing it again.
This pad by is lovely — high quality for the price and exactly what I’d expected. There’s a good range of dark to light “watercolor” papers — they remind me of alcohol ink backgrounds too. My local stamp shop also carries their pads, and they’re some of my favorites, having purchased dozens (too many!) of pads from many companies, though mostly 6x6, over many years. As a previous reviewer stated, the gold embossing isn’t real, but I wouldn’t expect that. These papers look beautiful cut into a few strips on a background for a card.
