This product is a good idea that missed being a great idea by only about 1/4". I learned a lot about the caps on all the little bottles of Stickles, Color Box reinker bottles, alcohol ink bottles, Liquid Pearls bottles, and so on. They all look alike, except for one crucial detail. There are "long nose" caps and "short nose" caps. The difference is only about 3/16". The level of the lower tier needs to re raised slightly to keep the long nosed bottle caps from tilting to the outside and falling out of the holes when the cylinder cover is removed. The top tier also needs to be raised enough to keep the caps on those bottles from catching on and dislodging the bottom tier bottles. There is just enough room under the cylinder cover to allow the height adjustment. Since I am not one to do things by halves--I bought 10 of these to hold all my bottles--I had to make them work. I experimented with paper washers cut from double thick paper, but it took multiple washers to do the trick. I soon had my fill of cutting all those washers, even when using paper punches. Metal fender washers were difficult to find (and expensive), requiring a 9/16" inner opening and a max outer dia. of 1". In the midst of my angst I noticed a thin rubber band lying on my desk top. There was the no cost solution right before me. Wrap a thin rubber band tightly around the central stem several times. It can be rolled up or down, like a grommet, with the fingers. Fine adjustments can easily be made to lift the bottle caps just enough to clear. The outer cylinder has just enough extra room at the top to still fit. Of course, rubber bands do rot because of the acid in them, but they are abundant and easy to replace. It would have been nice for the designers of this storage idea to have noticed the slight difference in bottle caps and adjusted the design just enough that all bottles fit, so this twiddling wouldn't be necessary. That's what keeps this storage idea from being a 5-star idea.
This is an awesome little gem!!! I bought 3 of them to hold my alcohol inks and stickles. They each hold 36 bottles and then they can be stacked on top of each other, thus saving precious scrapping space. I labeled the bottom of each bottle with the color name of the alcohol ink (they hang upside down) and it is so easy to find what I need. (I used a label maker). I would definitely recommend this (and actually have already) to anyone who needs to store bottles of ink or sitckles.
I love having my Stickles' all available at my fingertips. This revolving storage makes sure I can get to the color I want and it's ready to go (because they are upside down). I'd even use a three-tiered one in the future.
This product is absolutely perfect for all your stickles and/or liquid pearls. When removing the bottom of the double-tiered container, you can put your Smooch inks in there upside down. This container is very well thought out. Takes up so little real estate on your table too.
Love it!
I absolutely love these organizers for my stickles and my liquid pearls! I have 2 of them, 1 for stickles and the other for liquid pearls. I need to order a couple more, as my stash is ever growing! I love that you can stack them onto one another to save space in your scrap space. We all know how important space is in our scrappy space!
I was very disappointed when I receiived this product, especially when everyone else seemed to be loving it.
sAll the descriptions for it indicated it would hold Stickletss glue as well as Pearlized inks. They didn't make it clear that one "wheel" of holes held the Stickles and the second "wheel" held the pearlized ink; I wanted to hold all my Stickles together in one container, but this is impossible.. This is not even possible; and that is never indicated in the description of the item.
The base is flimsy and was actually already broke, so I taped it. The lower holder was too short and the Stickles flopped out and the higher holder when filled with Stickles stuck in the top cover and you could not get out without pulling the holder out and stickles falling all over your work table !!! The unhinged company did not return my calls or even answer the phone !!! Scrapbook.com was really nice and refunded my money promptly.
I just got mine in. Even ordered stickles. Tried to put them in it a few times and the top didn't fit properly and then when I finally got it together, I would take the top off and all the top layer of jars would come off in the lid. So I would have to re-do them to get the lid back on. Great concept, but mine is going back. Not work 20.00 at all.
Cost was way too high for the product.
I really like the concept of holding your Stickles Glitter Glue. It won't hold others unless it is the same size. Of course, it has other tiers for other products, but they are for specifically for those products, so it is not versatile as expected. Unfortunately, this case (cover) is not as strong or sturdy as a regular CD case. Mine came in broken from the hinges. I was in luck for having a CD case and just transferred the tiers to that case and it work perfectly! They really should just sell the clear tiers for like $5 dollars. It is not worth the money if you order it and it comes in broken. I have contacted Scrapbook.com about it and I trust the staff will assist me on it.
Sorry to burst someone's bubble, but not work the money for the little quality it gives.
