When layouts are more elaborate and contain items other than just pictures, the pages become thicker...hence you need a bigger binder. I purchased this binder when my 2022 pages outgrew my previous 3-ring album. It's easy to use and fits well in my Kallax. It is wider than my previous 3-ring album, but it takes up less space than 2 regular albums.

Can you tell me what the actual dimensions of this album? Is it a TRUE 12x12 or is it larger 12x15?

This album measure approximately 15" across by 13" high. The 12 x 12 is referring to the size of page protectors it holds.
