Yes, I can cut out straight pieces of card or paper on my paper cutter. But this die lets me cut out eleven pieces that are exactly the same size in a very small fraction of the time it would take on a paper cutter. I can also cut several papers at the same time. Whether that different colors or types of card it gives me the flexibility to let my imagination soar. How you use those straight pieces of paper is up to your imagination. You could make your own plaid. You could weave them together. You could lay them all down at different angles. The possibilities are endless!
Love dies that cut strips. This is a great die. cuts cleanly and is large enough to do quite a few strips at the same time.
This color block stripes die is so nice and I'm glad I bought it. It will help greatly when I need some strips for cards, or whatever else strips can be used for it. It will be so good to be able to make strips quickly, which are all the same size without the problem of trying to figure out how to get that done on a paper trimmer.
