Are you ready to have some fun with ink? Picket Fence Studios has come out with this innovative new inking tool called Paper Pouncers. This package includes 12 Paper Pouncers in a rainbow and neutral colors. They are all identical, save for the color. Each Pouncer comes in a handy little case of the same color. Each pouncer has a high-quality soft sponge on an ergonomic handle for easy application. The Pouncers are perfect for anyone with hand, wrist, or elbow issues as the pouncing motion is gentle. So what is pouncing? You ink up the sponge and rather than blending, you pounce or push down on the sponge and are left with a circular design. You can then extend the design with blending or leave the circle and create the rest of your project. These pouncers are easy to clean, just gently pounce onto a scrap paper or damp cloth. Do not leave them submerged in water, as the sponges may expand. These Pouncers can be used with all kinds of ink including embossing ink. The case measures 2" x 2.75", the sponge measures approximately 1.5" x 1.5", and the sponge/tool with handle measures 1.5" x 2.43".

These are a lot larger than I was expecting. They are a lot of fun to use. The cheery colors make me happy!
I use both distress and dye inks. When using my dye inks for stencils, I have some brushes I like. However, I do not care for dye inks and brushes for backgrounds because I feel that I can't get smooth coverage without using a TON of ink. In addition, I have a few stamps (such as Altenew halftone stamps) where I use either brushes or daubers to apply the ink. I don't do this often because it takes a ton of time. So, seeing the video of these pouncers, I wondered if they would work better than daubers and brushes for ink transfer? They do! The stamping comes out gorgeous, like a watercolor painting. I find it is easy to gauge how heavy of ink I want transferred. I know the video said the pouncer's aren't designed for background blending but if I build the sponge part (not the handles) then it blends nicely. Cleanup is either nothing or using the leftover ink on something; it's literally that easy. Great buy! I wonder if they'll design smaller ones for smaller spaces?

These Pouncers have made a noticeable difference in my use of stenciling. They are very easy to use. I am very happy with the product and the improvement in the outcome of my stenciling. Awesome!

The bottom portion of the sponge is inside the handle which allows you to pounce and even drag Paper Pouncers. I hope this answers your question.

Do you recommend separate sets for regular dye inks vs oxides? Can you use one set for both types of ink?

Hi, can I put liquid ink, on a pouncer, and tape it all over a stamp? Do you think the stamp picture, could look as good, as stamping it on a stamp pad?
Hello, what I would recommend, but have not tested, is to put a little of the ink on a surface that can be wiped off like a glass media mat. Lightly and carefully tap the paper pouncer in the ink. This should help with a more even distribution of the ink then use the paper pouncer on the stamp. We are not certain how well this will apply the ink to the stamp.

Hello, so far we have found people store them in generic containers, on their workspace/desk, on a shelf/rolling cart, and stacked upon each other. So far we are unaware of any container specifically made for the product. With the popularity of the product, it is hopeful to see containers made in the future.
