While I'm not new to card marking, I'm relatively new to the world of using embossing powders. I have to say, the idea of using a heat gun to my projects had me a little freaked out, but, nothing ventured, nothing gained, so I decided to try it. On my first attempt, I was a wuzz and used the low heat setting on my heat gun, so the powder didn't melt. It wasn't until I cranked that puppy up to the high setting that the magic began. This Ranger Black Sparkle embossing powder is so beautiful after it heat sets! Even for a rookie like me, it melted evenly without any bubbling. I'm so happy with the results! Would definitely recommend!
I love how after heat embossing that you see the sparkle really well.
My problem is as I'm putting the embossing powder on my project, I have notice a black powder film over the paper. It's very hard to remove the powder, since I will mess up what I'm working on. Do you have any suggestions?
