I purchased three Ranger Embossing Powders at the same time to see which one I'd like best for snowflakes. I used VersaMark embossing ink and Frosted Crystal is absolutely the perfect one for shimmery snowflakes. I did not expect the results I got, as it far exceeded my expectations for an embossing powder.
Product adds a perfect amount of sparkle to my projects.
I've gone card-making crazy. I'm learning about embossing powder, stamping, embossing folders, die cutting, all types of inks and there are just a few hours in the day after work for me to learn all of these things. I wasn't sure what to expect with embossing powder so looked at a few videos before I tried it. So far...FUN! I'll learn to be selective later, right now I'm just discovering all of these new techniques. This powder is so easy to use and goes a long way. I'll have to wait for the weekend to play some more. Great product.
I used this for a night and cloudy since. It's just amazing. Used it with mix media, it's amazing and I was very surprised of the out come.
This powder is different from any other I have used. It leaves a subtle, semi sparkling look without the shine. It has a bit of texture under the right light. I found it is more effective on solid stamped items.
It would be helpful if there was any swatch picture of the product after applying. This is translucent, gives a slight glittery shine.
I was looking for an iridescent embossing powder. This is more like white, but a Blue White. So it may be useful, but I'll need to continue my search for the iridescent color I need.
Shopping online is difficult when it comes to color matching!
*The quality is probably fine, but I haven't used it yet to say for sure.
I am a little disappointed in this embossing powder. I have used other embossing powders by this brand with no problems so I bought this one with the intentions of using it on a snowflake background but it did not sparkle or even emboss. All it left was a shadow similar to what happens when you use Versa Mark on paper with no powder.
Very good embossing powder to get a frosted, vintage look. I especially like to use it on die-cuts.
