In my many hours of searching, I had found reviews that said this ink would work with Copic markers. That was not my experience. After 24 hour dry time, it smeared and bled and muddied up the Copic marker color. It seems to be a good ink, with great coverage for other applications. Maybe it would work if heat-set? Or maybe it works with other types of markers (water based?) but just not what I was looking for. I will keep it, however, for other uses. The Black Soot Distress Ink DID work with the Copics, however.
I do not normally use pigment ink - I am a chalk ink user normally. But I always want one black inkpad for stamping because I like to color in with watercolor and need a good black outline. After using this one time I know I have finally got the right black ink, and the images were crisp and dark and just exactly what I want. I love that the cover comes COMPLETELY off this ink pad - because it makes it that much easier to use!! Wonderful product!!
I received this pad this past week. Although it was delivered quickly, the pad itself was so dry it was basically useless. I'll stick with Colorbox from now on.
Haven't used this yet, however know people who have - and do! Supposed to be great!
Try using this ink pad for the first time. Have not used yet, but is expected
