Got this thing because of the video. Was a bit skeptical. Just wasn't convinced this thing was going to work. So, imagine my surprise when it not only worked, but was wayyyyy more controllable than other ink spattering devices. When you use the ink sprays, control is an issue. It doesn't always go where you want it to go. With this device, you have much better control over where you are spraying, and the depth of color. If you focus the point close to the paper, the darker the ink. The further away from the paper, the lighter the ink. It was really nice to use a device that had better direction as to where the ink was going. No doubt, you have to play around with the pens a bit, but if you use the brush end of the markers, it really does a nice job of spreading the ink where you want it. With other techniques, it doesn't always go where you direct it.
THIS TOOL IS WONDERFUL FOR JUST ADDING A TOUCH OF COLOR TO YOUR PROJECTS. VERY EASY TO USE, AND CAN BE USED WITH A VERY WIDE VARIETY OF INK PENS. YOU CAN SPRITZ THE COLOR ON REAL LIGHT, OR MAKE IT DARKER, AND MORE INTENSE. I AM HAVING A BLAST WITH THIS TOOL. THIS IS ANOTHER MUST FOR CRAFTERS/SCRAPBBOOKERS, YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS NEWEST TOOL OF TIMS.
I really love this Distress Marker Spritzer Tool. I find I am too heavy handed with regular spritzers like the Tattered Angels. I always get my project too blotchy with them. This tool allows a much lighter spritze of color where I want it or if I want more concentration, I hold it much closer to the project. You can get as little or as much spray effect as you want. It works great for me.
I am very impressed with how great this tool works. Very easy! I have other markers that it works with also like the Marvy and Recollections felt tip markers. You just have to make sure you install the marker properly with the tip in direct line with the air chute. What I like best about his is there is no mess. You can switch colors in an instant and there's no messy clean up between colors. Love it!
I have not had a chance to use the spritzer extendly but in a short tryout I am impressed with this product. I have wondered, "How come I didn't think of this before." It's a great product and much need to add a higher level of production. It arrived very quickly and as usual it is a joy working with Scrapbook.com.
you have to have new ranger ink distress pens or it will not work.
I have not been happy with ranger ink pens because they go dry very fast.
I purchased one. Be sure yours is returnable. I found it narly impossible to get to work no matter what markers I used. Positioning in critical and nearly impossible. Just use caution
I find this product to be worthless. I tried to use it with the Ranger distress pens (more than one) and couldn't ever get it to work. Going straight in the garbage.
I was skeptical at first, since this onlu has a hand pump air source. Let me tell yo, I tried several brands of "fat" to medium markers (fine point just doesn't work). I also tried the brush/pen markers with it. Using the brush tip, it did an awesome job! Thank you Tim Holtz for the fantastic demo. After seeing that on YouTube, I was confident I could do it, too. I loved my finished card, so Easter looking with the shades I choose!
Thumbs up on this product! If you purchase it, you'll be glad you did!
I tried this on some of my regular markers. Since I don't have any Tim Holtz Distress markers yet. I have to say it works well on any kind of marker you have. I really like this tool and still learning to see what other markers can work well with this tool.
