I have a few different "hello" dies and am pleased with this. It can be used with or without the background die. One thing I was a bit surprised about was how much thicker the background die is when the word is put on top. I didn't notice any pictures in the listing that contained the background die with the sentiment. Although it wasn't what I was expecting I do like it.
I have used it already and it cut well. There are some more of them I want to purchase someday.

According to the manufacturer, this die measures 2.7 cm tall (1.06"). So this is quite a tiny die.
