Very vintage looking and the box is so pretty and can be used when cards are gone. So you get two nice things in the set. The box looks like a deck of playing cards and opens like a book.
These are beautiful. Even my grown son was crazy about them. The same size as a deck of cards and they look authentically old.
As a quick enhancement to a page, these are an important, irreplaceable component of any good design.

Is the box made of WOOD? So it can stand up to altering with mixed media & gesso? Thx.

Hello! It is not made of wood, but it is a very sturdy, thick substrate. I have personally added mixed-media items to one and it held up very well!
