Living on the other side of Atlantic, I waited patiently for about a month and a half for this beauty to arrive... but so worthy the wait! Very beautiful!!!
Another product I saw Brushed by Brandy used on a furniture piece. It was so beautiful, I ordered it also. The quality of the mould and the details are very impressive. I haven't used it yet, but looking forward to doing so soon.
As soon as these moulds arrived, I got out my paper clay. I have been watching folks on YouTube doing projects with moulds and paper clay for a number of months. Because I did not want to invest very much money, in case this was not something for me, I was very happy to see these moulds at Scrapbook.com. at a very affordable price. I have only had the time to try the "Aviary" moulds and I have not done anything beyond making the little birds and some rose branches. I have ideas of attaching them to projects and painting them but have not gotten that far. With a dusting of cornstarch, the moulds released the paper clay without distortion. The images were quite detailed. I am glad to have these little darlings in my stash. Thanks for getting them to me so quickly.
Beautiful detail, birds are so lifelike. Absolutely love the new pale blue color. So much prettier than industrial gray.

What do you use for medium with the molds?

I have used a paperclay and a Japanese clay made with "wood powder". Both are air-dry clay and super lightweight. After pressing the clay into the mould, smooth the surface, then you can gently bend the mould and the item will pop out, then set it aside to air dry. That way you can make multiple images and not have to wait for them to dry in the mould. I use these images on my greeting cards, and my art-box projects. The air-dry clay has worked very well for these projects.
