Create beautiful shapes with resin, clay, hot glue, even food (yes, this silicone mould is food safe) with the Nature Lover Collection Silicone Mould from Prima. This mould measures 3.5" x 4.5" and contains the shapes for birds and foliage.
This silicone mould is food safe.
Purchased mainly for the fern-like leaves. Have only tried this with liquid sculpy for the leaves...so cannot really vouch for how other moulding materials will respond. The leaves have a lot of detail and are very delicate in appearance. These will work well to build texture and interest in collage area pieces.
[Note when using liquid sculpy with this mold I tend to be generous with the sculpy. Have a toothpick handy and drag the sculpy into the tips of leaf fronds and the stalk of the mould as well as dragging the toothpick along the bottom of mould to dislodge air bubbles which will bake in forming a hole in the surface of the design. You can stick the end of the sculpy bottle back into the center of the mould to suck out some of the sculpy to use else where and the edges will stay put.] Pieces of the double bird and branch impression can be used without using the whole impression. There is versatility in this mold.
I am guessing that the bird at the bottom will mold well with moulding material as it has less skinny pieces, but you will need, from my experience using prima molding material in other deep moulds, to leave the mold material to set up for a good 48 hours before attempting to move. A ceramics teacher once told me that if the clay piece is till cold, it is not dry and this seems to hold true for the other molding materials that I have experimented with.
Beautiful shapes and lots of detail; perfect for DIY embellishments.
