I have been testing the capabilities of this item for use in its intended purpose, for 3 D dimenional, multimedia embellishing. I started my test using this Prima product, on Prima paper. It does dry clear when used in a thin layer. The issue I am having with this product is that, when you do use a heat gun on it to quicken drying, it will dry the outer coating only, leaving the inside gel opaque, and not transparent, as desired, and as claimed by the product.
I also applied this product in combination with a layer of dimensional items, to test it. It does hold well. However, after several days waiting for the glue to clarify, it remained hazy, and very cloudy. I then tried the heat tool, and it still remains hazy. I had hoped for a crystal clear embellishment adhesive for my multimedia work.
Great hold for your heavier embellishments . I have to say that no fault from anyone but my last shipment of this 3D gel came to my door frozen. The package was handed to me from carrier so it didn't sit outside on my end. I let it sit and warm up but it stayed very firm so I called Scrapbook.com customer service . The lady was so helpful and I just received a new jar today in perfect shape ! So thank you Scrapbook.com !
Love this product. This is my second container of this product. I use it mostly for attaching prills and embellishments to my projects. It dries clear and is flexible. I've used it as a glue for attaching paper to my mini albums too.
