I like the Simon Hurley ink pads however, I bam not a big fan of the paler shades like Piggyback and Over the Moon. Maybe it was just the ink pads I received with my order but the ink pads for these lighter shaded seemed very dry. I had to work really hard to get any ink on the paper.
I tried multiple types of applicators and did not notice a difference. Very disappointed in the light shades.
I bought 3 colors to try these out. I have at least 6 competitive brands (wont mention them) and I must say I was shocked how dry these were. You DEFINITELY need a reinker if you want to use these effectively. Love the colors, not the dryness. Wished they werent so dried out.
I like my other SH inks, but this one is too pale. It can hardly be seen on white paper, even with multiple layers.
I love Simon's ink pads as they clean up great and all the colors blend well together or by themselves also.
