This is the first Simon Hurley ink I've purchased and I love it! Great pigment, and works well combined with water for more mixed media options.
I was so excited about getting these ink pads but when I got them I found them to be quite dry and needing re-inking on my first stamp. I know there is a common rule to buy the re-inker at the same time as the ink pad but I have never had to re-ink on my first use. I would expect to only have to use the re-inker after some time. Perhaps it's my batch as I have ordered others but this was definitely the experience with this set.

Nice dye ink pads. Sike is a very vibrant yellow color that blends very well.
These ink stamps are great. Only have one or two left to buy.
I am blown away by the ink blending capability of these inks! They are brand new to me so I haven’t been able to play with them much yet… but I used Simon’s ink two out of the three inks on my page and had to use a blue from my other inks and Simon’s ink beat the other ink hands down!!

Does this ink have to dry before you can continue working on your project?

Thanks for asking. This dye ink can be used for ink blending, stamping and stenciling. Being water based they are generally not water resistant. Depending on what else you are doing with your project, keep in mind that these inks may react with any liquids.
