This set of two packages of mini domed ink blending foam replacements are designed by Tim Holtz and Ranger to work with the mini ink blending tool (sold separately). Each package contains 10 foams, giving a total of 20 pieces. These foams can be used to apply inks, paints, and more mixed media products (sold separately). This tool makes blending a much smoother technique.

I do a lot of blending - mostly Distress Oxides on Nina Classic Crest but occasionally other inks and papers. Rangers' regular flat blending foams were my most used, but I also use or have tried different brushes, daubers, etc. And for regular blending (not ultra light), these are my absolute favorites. The foam is identical on top to the Ranger flat foams, and just a hair softer and denser than the Scrapbook.com foams, just for comparison.
This domed surface is so much easier to use and obtain a smooth transition from one color to the next (an improvement over the first blending foam surfaces with distinct edges). It also is the best for obtaining deeper, darker blends, if you wish.
These are great. I have another brand of domed foam applicators but these Tim Holtz have a softer foam. The other brand that I have is very porous and leaves little swirly marks. So far these new Tim Holtz foams don't leave any marks. I feel like I finally got the perfect domed applicators.

Thes are so great for blending, very smooth and no harsh lines. Far better than the flat ones. Not sure about durability over the long term yet but so far so good.
