    No Metallic

I purchased this after using another Alloy in a gold tone. This, I thought, was going to be copper colored but it came out as a washed out terra cotta color. I can see the metal inside the bottle, but as much as I've shaken the bottle, it doesn't come through.
Very disappointed. I'm sure it's just a bad batch, but this one didn't work for me.

  • Love the foundry waxes!

I am used to the Nuvo embellishment waxes and I do love them, but I watched a Tim Holtz video on YouTube about the foundry and alloy products and decided to give them a try. I love them! I have been using them on metal hardware, charms and Tim's salvaged figures. Highly recommended!

Questions & Answers
  • Can someone help me - my alloy inks are "flaking" off the paper after I'm done creating... I'm using a heavy glossy cardstock. Any tips/advice? Do I need to seal with something?   By: jennborj (25-Feb-21) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Yes, they need to be sealed for best results. Use Kamar by Krylon. Depending on what your final project is, look into uv sealer also by krylon (gloss for best results) and then you can use a top coat over that. A lot of people use triple thick but you can research other options. Kamar needs to be down first or all other sealers will cause your inks to run!! Make sure to leave several hours between coats or it can mess your project up. Good luck! By: Cut Moon Designs (01-Mar-21) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you!
