Give your mixed media and paper craft projects an instant antique look with the Tim Holtz Old Paper Distress Oxide Ink Pad by Ranger Ink. There is one 2" x 2" raised water-reactive dye and pigment ink pad that creates an oxidized effect when sprayed with water included in the package. You can use this product with your favorite stencils, stamps or directly onto your craft surface (each item sold separately). The ink pad is made in the USA.
I was looking for a pale grey color and had trouble comparing the oxides online (not on Scrapbook.com) so took a chance with this Old Paper. It turns out to be a very pale green color which is useful, just not exactly what I was hoping for. (I found the pale grey I was after and Pumice Stone worked for me.) I do like the oxides and need to try different ways of using them.
It may seem like a blah color but build this up and you won't believe how beautiful and creamy this is and how well it works for ancestral themes. I think these inks work best on water color papers; I can't get enough of them. Old Paper is a staple color if you're looking to go back into the past.
Absolutely adore this color. Adds a subtle aging without adding a lot of grunge (let's face it -- we all love TH grunge, but sometimes a certain project needs that little touch of age)

Is TH Distress Oxide Old Paper ink A lighter gray shade/color. I'm looking for a light gray ink pad to use in stamping journal pages, make it look like a much faded black, a light shade of gray.
