They are translucent and can be used on paper, canvas, wood, fabric, and other porous surfaces. They can be used as a finishing spray or layered over inks and paints to create backgrounds and add luminous effects. Absolutely love these Distress Mica Stains - the colours and shine are amazing.
I missed ordering these the first year they were released, so I was super excited to be able to get them this year. I absolutely DO have 'full set syndrome' with the Mica Stains, they are so fun to work with and give such gorgeous shimmer and shine to makes. Love them!

Can you stamp over the Distress Mica Stain. For example could I stamp the Tim Holtz pumpkins on top of this distress Mica Stain?

Yes, you can stamp over Distress Mica Stains as well as spray the stains over your stamped image as well.

how do you keep sprays from smearing?

Hello, it is recommended to make sure the sprays are fully dry to avoid smear. This can be done by giving it time to dry, using a heat tool to dry in between sprays. There is also Distress Resist Spray link and Distress Micro Glaze link that can be used on the completely dried projects/sprays to seal them.
