To use, simply shake the bottle, squeeze a few drops on the ink pad surface and work the ink evenly into the pad with the bottle nozzle. It’s that easy! Now your Scrapbook.com ink pad is rejuvenated and ready for more creative projects.
But don’t limit the reinker to just extending the life of your ink pad - it has many other creative uses as well! Here are some fun ideas of what else you can use them for:
What is the difference between dye, pigment and hybrid ink?
Dye inks are water-based and literally dye your paper. The ink is soaked up by the paper or cardstock so they tend to dry fast. Pigment inks are made of tiny particles that will sit on top of your paper and will take a longer time to dry. They tend to be brighter, with a denser saturation of color and work well with dark colors of cardstock. They are also great for heat embossing since they stay wet longer. Hybrid inks are the best of the two ink types (dye and pigment) as they have properties of both inks. They also tend to be more translucent in their appearance. Hybrid inks are suitable for all skill levels of crafters due to their compatibility with multiple mediums and surfaces.

I bought this re inker along with the matching ink pad. I do not like this ink at all!
No matter what stamps or paper i used, this ink did not stamp well. Way to light and the ink rubs off even when dried over night.
I got this re-inker to go with the gold pad and they came together. It's got a safety cap on it so it can't open up accidentally. I like that, once I realized how to open it.
I love the gold color of this ink, bright and bold.
I bought this refill to try and soak the gold stamp pad of my Dew Drop Brilliance set. That didn't work. Then I tried re-inking another pigment gold stamp pad I had and that worked much better. I don't use that much gold and didn't want to have to buy another stamp pad.
Another essential I can't do without, my gold pigment ink pad is something I use nearly ever day. Having a refill is certainly necessary for all of my inks, and having this perfect gold re-inker is more than just a refill, I use it for splatter, for painting, enhancing embossing folder images - the list of it's usefulness goes on and on! Even if you didn't have the ink pad, you'd have a LOT of uses for this!
If you want to add special, shiny touch for your projects - think ink is a perfect answer. It works great while applying through the stencil. It's quite thick and need some time to dry. When it's dry the shimmer stays in place and doesn't come off. You can also dylute it with water and use for splashing. Reinker is a must have as you will want to rewet your pad often to keep it running smoothly.
Reinkers are a must especially when you have such a beautiful ink! I feel like it’s so important to keep your metallic inks juicy so you can always get a great impression. Plus, I love to use mine for adding little drops or splatters of ink on my projects.
I'm a fan of having re-inkers on hand for the stamp inks already in your supply stash. Of course, it's great for re-inking, but also a fun mixed media touch creating metallic paint splatters on one's projects as well.
I love these metallic reinkers to spritz a bit of shine onto my projects. It's stunning & I use it on almost every card I make.
Used in this project: Miss You Swan Card Duo
Love the color, used freehand versus reinking a pad. Great result for my intended use on paper designed for use with inks.
