This stitched border stripe die set is very nice. I like the assortment of stitched patterns. One of the patterns could be used as a snowflake strip, in white, as well as a strip of flowers, or even tiny suns, in yellow, or just any color design. (Even though the flower pattern has eight points on it (real snowflakes all have six points.) one could get away with the flowers as snowflakes because they are so small. I've seen actual snowflake patterned dies with more than six points to them. Those are like the flower/snowflake dies--you still use them as snowflakes if you want. It comes under the category of, "artistic license and comes from the artist's imagination. It's a relative of, "poetic license," for a poet, with creative words and spellings. (Have you ever penned a limerick, or read limericks? They are filled with creative spelling and are a lot of fun to make up.) I LOVE this die set. :D
I have used this a lot since I purchased this die set. I use it on my cards to border or add an accent. I haven't tried on metallic paper, but the card stock I've used with it cut nicely and the pattern was subtle.
The patterns are decorative but generic enough to be used all year long, so certainly a versatile set.
