This 3D Embossing Folder, Corrugated, is from Spellbinders. This folder has a fluted, wavy repeat pattern much like corrugated cardboard. This folder measures 5.5" x 8.5" and will work on a variety of card sizes from A2 (4.25" x 5.5") to slimline 3.5" x 8.5"). This embossing folder is compatible with leading die cutting machines and embossing machines that have at least a 6" wide opening (sold separately). This folder can be used for a variety of cards, scrapbook pages, tags, journal and planner pages, anywhere you need a background. This embossing folder will emboss cardstock, patterned paper, vellum, and more. For best results, lightly mist your paper on both sides with water before embossing.
I really like this die set. It really does look like corrugated metal, or cardboard.! I'm glad I bought this set with this pattern and will be using it soon.
I haven't used this yet, but it looks just as pictured and is a really nice size. Look forward to cardmaking with this.
If you like the corrugated look you will love this embossing folder. It does a deep emboss and is larger than normal (5 3/4" x 8 3/4" outside measurement), so gives a nice big piece to work with. Makes a great background for a card, but I also like to die cut embellishments from the embossed scraps. I embossed a piece of file folder (yes, a real file folder), and was still able to die cut pieces from that with my thin metal dies. And the embossing did not get flattened out, even with those flat little dies. The only thing I had a little trouble with concerning this embossing folder was coming up with the right "sandwich" to get it through my old Cuttlebug. It is pretty thick, but I reckon that must be what makes the nice, deep emboss. Corrugated pieces give so much dimension to a card (or scrapbook page), so this is gonna be a favorite! And, the folder is big enough to lay pieces of cardstock at an angle so you can have 'diagonal' corrugations too. Pretty cool.
