This Glimmer Specialty Cardstock is part of the Card Shoppe Collection from Spellbinders. This unique cardstock is designed to use with the Spellbinders Hot Foil System (sold separately). It is also ideal to use with alcohol ink. This cardstock is coated so that inks, watercolors, and other mixed media mediums dry on its surface to prevent bleeding. This cardstock measures 8.5" x 11", is 76 lb. weight, and there are 10 pieces in this package. This specialty paper is made in the USA.
The Spellbinders Glimmer specialty cardstock gives spectacular results when used with their Hot Foil Glimmer system. Although it's not a necessity to use this product, in my opinion you will have a hard time using a different type of cardstock once you've tried this. It's also great because the surface is coated so it prevents inks and watercolors from bleeding.
I bought this as it was recommended to me to use for hot foiling.
I want to like hot foiling. I am a veteran crafter and I’m sorry, but no special papers or products make this process satisfying or fun. This paper is smooth and thin, but wouldn’t cut well with dies, even with three shims. I still got overfoiling. I’m going to get rid of my Glimmer machine before I waste any more money.
