Add an outdoor scene to your crafting projects with the Leaf Print Thinlits Die Set designed by Tim Holtz for Sizzix! This wafer-thin chemically-etched die set is designed to cut, emboss or stencil a single sheet of cardstock, paper, metallic foil, or vellum. The die set is compatible with the BIGkick, Big Shot, and Vagabond machines (sold separately). Included in the package are 8 thin metal dies.
Yesterday I used some Distress Ink and Oxides to make a few backgrounds with watercolor paper. Used these dies cutting on my backgrounds using both framelit and detailed dies together and made quite a few beautiful “webbing” pieces. I then used the framelit to cut out a solid leaf background and carefully adhered the negative “puzzle like” pieces onto the solid leaves. Beautiful!! I love the results and today and am going to go into more brown tones for the design of my upcoming Thanksgiving cards for family members. Love this! Be careful of the very thin framelit, Two of mine bent with using the chrome plate for cutting the dies together and that was without using adhesive paper under my cardstock, so thinking it would have been worse if I had. That is why I gave this set 4 stars.
I love this die set! Was fun to see how many combinations I could get cutting these out, and so far I can create 7 different looks with each of these leaves dies. Very happy with this design idea by Tim Holtz, I hope him and Sizzix release more styles in the future. Very happy with this :)
The possibilities with these dies are just ENDLESS. So many ways to use and such delightful results. They can be used for so many different seasons and reasons, too. One of my favs.
I love these leaves. I have been looking for layered leaves and these are perfect. The dies cut great and give a beautiful finished product.
The leaves are pretty but i had a hard time trying to figure out how to use it, no instructions or ideas.... I was disappointed with Tim HOltz, not Scrapbook.com they give me ideas!
I had so much fun doing inlaid work with these dies. Reminder: when doing inlaid work, always put a new dryer sheet (folded into 4 layers), under the paper, then the die. This ensures the pieces will stay together, until you want to inlay them.
Thank you. I make my own flowers and need various leaf shapes which I have now found. Thank you.
Very nice leaves for the journal. Shipping was fast, thank you.
