Tim Holtz creates amazing products and this Cobblestone Set Two 3D Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is a fine example. This folder is from Sizzix and is part of the 3-D Texture Fades Collection. This embossing folder measures 4 1/2" x 5 3/4", a bit larger than standard folders to accommodate heavier paper weights. This folder both embosses and debosses your material at the same time. To use a 3D folder correctly, you must first mist your paper on both sides, which can be a heavy cardstock, metallic foil, watercolor paper, or mixed media paper (all sold separately). The folder should be used with only 1 cutting pad due to the thickness of the folder, just place the folder on the platform with all tabs closed. Then for best results, pass it through your machine 3 times. This folder is compatible with leading die cutting machines (sold separately). As a note, these folders can also be used with thin metal.
THis is a stunning embossing folder that creates a cobblestone look and feel when embossed. If you add ink or other medium in the crevices it really looks like oldfashioned cobblestone. This is a folder to add to your craft collection if you're a Tim Holtz fan (or not).
I like this embossing folder. I like natural things like this one is, so I bought it. It would be good for a stone wall, too. There are all sorts of possibilities for this folder and I'm real glad I bought it.
This is going to be a much used embossing folder - love the potential of this cobblestone design.
