I have no complaints about the quality of the markers, but the shades don't come out as pictured. Except for the darkest shade, the other two appear very yellow/beige and look nothing like the swatch. You can't really do a gradation effect because of that.
These are different from the picture, they are the new oval pens, and are improved somewhat. They don't have the pointy caps, and are a little longer than the old style. The caps are better than the old pointy ones. (Thank goodness!) Easier to get off! These colors I would say are pastel oranges, except 476 ginger peach, which is kind of a beige muted yellow to my eyes. But very useful colors. I have quite a few of the old style, and although I'm not in love with the caps they really are excellent alcohol markers. I squeezed some hot glue onto the dumb pointy caps of the old ones as of kind of gripper to help me get those caps off. It helped a lot. But with the new style I don't think I'll have to do that.
I was looking for something that wasn’t super expensive, like other brands!!! These are perfect for me, there very juicy. Color is very good, and they can be blended. Once I bought 1 I had to get the rest
These are beautiful colors & blend well... Other than the caps being to tight for arthritis hands, I really like these markers....
I bought 3 sets of Nuvo and 5 sets of American Crafts Markers mostly based on price.
While the American Crafts are very poorly marked (I’ve reviewed them separately, the boxes aren’t marked nor are the pens marked with chisel versus bullet tip end), these Nuvo Markers are beautifully marked.
The boxes tell you the color group, I.e. Sunshine Yellows, Rich Reds. Each pen is clearly marked with bullet versus chisel tip end, as well as having a nice swatch sticker on the barrel.
This set has 2 colors close in color to each other but one is more on the tan side, then there is one lovely apricot as the 3rd. Being called Apricot when they aren’t all shades of apricot kind of disappoints.
But overall, I’m happy with these.

my Nuvo alcohol markers arrived today, #392, #476 and #387 - specifically to use on Beth Kingstons paper doll collection. Marker #392 is completely dried up, marker #476 is very dry and almost useless. Marker #387 seems to be okay.. Very disappointing when the markers arrive already past their useable date.
