Stronger magnetic hold than Make It! Magnetic station

I bought this as a station for my gel printing plates. The measurement guides are clearly visible and it's easy to place guidelines for where I need my paper to go. I love the non slip bottom. The Make It! Station I was using didn't have this and would slide all around unless I used a ton of tape. The magnetic field is also significantly stronger than the Make It! Station. With this one the magnets stay in place. With the Make It! they easily slid around. I'm going to give my Make It! Station to my 15 month old to play with her child safe magnets because she can easily pull them off and move them around. That's great for a 15 month old's toy...not so great for my art needs. So glad I gave this Tonic Studios brand a try. It's exactly what I was looking for.

    Great Platform

I love the fact that this platform stays in place on my desk and — with the help of the magnets — keeps my artwork in place while I work on it. And, of course, I use it to measure and to keep my work on a straight line.

Questions & Answers
  • I am having trouble using clear inexpensive stamps that with the platform. I have it on the clear correct side for stamping clear stamps. My ink pad is new and is transferring ink to the stamp just fine but hardly any ink is getting on the paper after multiple attempts. I tried putting the back of a paper pack (cardboard) under the paper but it didnt help much. I do add pressure as well but that didnt help either. Any pointers would be appreciated. Eventually Ill get more expensive stamps but hoping I can use the platform until then. Thanks for your help.   By: patgille123 (08-Apr-22) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • Hi patgille123,
Are you referring to the Tim Holtz Stamping Platform? If yes this is an entirely different product that what is pictured. If you are having issues with the TH Stamp Platform, please call Tonic at 209-253-0596 and ask for Gary. By: Tonic Studios (14-Apr-22) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • If I'm understanding your issue correctly, it sounds to me like maybe you need to prime your stamps. Just a guess, though! By: Shadowlightsecho (14-Apr-22) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
