Without storage, too many sponge daubers can get lost or wasted. Dauber boxes are the most efficient method to store fingertip daubers. The included Sponge Dauber Storage Box is a Scrapbook.com best-seller and is regarded as a must-own scrapbooking product by our customers. This storage box features a hinged lid with fail-safe sliding locks that keep the daubers securely in place, whether it’s safely in a desk drawer or taking a beating tossed in your crop bag. You will love the convenience and organization this dauber kit has to offer!

How to use your Sponge Daubers:

  • Place the Sponge Dauber on your fingertip or grasp it by the plastic barrel.
  • Dab the foam surface of the sponge dauber into a color medium such as ink, paint, or chalk until the desired amount of color is transferred.
  • Dab and blend color onto the surface of a project, edges of paper, or onto a stamp in preparation for stamping.
  • To clean your Sponge Daubers, rinse them with soap and water and set aside to dry.
  • To unlock your storage box, slide both of the black plastic locks outward and lift the lid. Fill it up with all your new and inked sponge daubers.
  • To lock your storage box, close the lid and slide both of the black plastic locks inward to secure the lid for travel and storage!

You will love the versatility and the results you achieve with these helpful little tools. Use your fingertip daubers to get smoother color blending, crisper stenciling, multi-colored stamping, perfectly glued corners that won’t peel up, and more! And the best part is, your fingertips stay clean and ink-free. That means no more accidental smudges or stains on the project you've worked your heart out on! Keeping one Sponge Dauber for each of your ink colors will prevent accidental color contamination –- and save you the hassle of washing daubers between uses!

    Perfect Dauber Storage

I got my daubers a few years ago, and when they arrived (I don’t remember the company), the case was cracked and broken. It still kept the daubers contained, so no problem. Until more of the container kept breaking. Then I saw the dauber storage container from Scrapbook.com. I can’t tell you how excited I was, and to top that off, they were having an 8% off sale! I’m so pleased with the container and I highly recommend it!

Great storage for a reasonable price

Not only will it hold 40 sponge daubers but Scrapbook.com even gives you a template to print out to keep track of those forty daubers. I have two paper crafting clubs that engage in lots of sponging, so having all my ink colors marked on the grid on the lid saves me time during class. These cases are very sturdy and the sliding locks provide security. You even get a free sponge dauber with your purchase!

    Great Product

I love these daubers and having a storage case for them is a great added bonus! The daubers are fantastic for inking projects - I especially like them for flowers as you can easily get a dappled look that adds debth to the pedals. The storage cases are sturdy with a sliding latch to keep them secure.

The Answer to a Persistant Storage Problem!

This is exactly what I needed! I really didn't have an efficient method of storing my fingertip daubers before, and, as a result, I've wasted and/or lost a lot of them. This box puts an end to the waste and gives me the storage solution that I've been looking for. I've already purchased four of these and will buy more in the future as my ink pad and chalk palette collections continue to expand.

Now, instead of having them all over the place in unsightly sandwich bags, all of my sponge daubers are labeled and stored alphabetically and by medium (two boxes for ink and two for chalk). Everything is neat and clean, and the diminutive size of the box makes it very easy to take my daubers with me to crops. And it's impossible for the box to open by accident because there are two snug, fail-safe sliding locks on it!

A great product and an excellent value!

    Dauber case

I edge/distress almost everything in my scrapbooks, so I go through a LOT of daubers. These cases are great! I've purchased several for myself and several more as gifts. I am particularly fond of the slide lock, which keeps the top of the case locked in case it gets knocked over - everything stays in place and the colors don't rub into each other. I used a template to stamp the dauber colors on a grid so I can quickly find the color I want. See sample at www.LaurasCropCircles.com (look under My Scrap Room).

    Sponge Dauber Storage Box

This case exceeded my expectations in quality for the price I paid for it! The acrylic is crystal clear, and thick, not flimsy like other cases I have seen at craft stores.
The back hinges are well constructed, with a metal pin through the center for stability, and the front latches slide easily, but with a snug fit so the lid won't pop open.
The inner dividers are shallow enough to be able to grab the dauber you want easily, and the daubers sit with enough clearance in the case that you could add a piece of paper to the inside lid with a "map" to list which dauber has which color ink on them. (If you do choose to make a color coded list for the lid, I would still recommend adding a piece of window plastic over the list to help keep it clean and ink free)

    Break Easily

I ordered three of these...two arrived fine, one was cracked in shipping. I actually ordered one extra just because I had read about this problem on other reviews. I don't really need the third one, and figured I could give it as a gift or use it for portable storage, where it will likely get cracked later, anyway.

Other than being fragile, the box is great for organizing your daubers. It does the job it's intended to do, and it is pretty much exactly as pictured, so that's why I'm giving it 5 stars.

One problem you might have is that the daubers are stored dirty side up, so you might get inky fingers pulling one out if it was used recently. Would have been better if it had a foam insert with holes where the daubers fit in snugly, with the sponge part down, and enough of the "handle" part showing enough to allow for labeling of the color name.

    The Best Case Ever!!

I love the sponge dauber storage box. I have one and will be ordering another. I numbered all my ink pads and put the same number on a dauber and numbered each hole in the case. So when I pull my ink pad to use on a project I immediately see the number say 25 and I go to my dauber case and pull the dauber out of hole 25. When I am done, my duaber has number 25 on it and i put it back into the case slot 25. This keeps me from trying to distinquish the color on my dauber and saves me a lot of time. Happy stamping..

    Perfect Dauber Storage Box

I started with an Altoid box as a tray and quickly ran out of space. I looked at Containers and all the hobby stores. No products out there were the right fit. I remember seeing this box at a rubber stamp convention and was so glad to find it again and at a great sale price. I was shocked and very pleased to find them on my porch within 2 days of the order! The boxes arrived in excellent condition, the plastic was better quality than expected based on some of the reviews. Locking devices are a great feature and the download chart is very helpful. It's a nice compact size with enough space between each dauber and shallow enough to be able to retrieve the dauber easily. I love love this container and wished I ordered more even though I don't need them yet. Thank you!

  • Hi,

I'm curious to know if this storage case with dividers would be a fit for the Paper Pouncers?
I personally doubt it as the Paper Pouncers seem larger than the daubers.
I store my Paper Pouncers in the large tin case.

Thanks.   By: Crafty L (27-Jun-24) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

  • I am new to stamping. Have numeours small holz ink pads in various colours. now have the sponges and storage box. Are these usually filled from an ink bottle? Where can I get those? anyone?

    • Hi. You don't fill them with ink. You insert your finger and then dab the sponge end on your ink pad pad to pick up the color. Then you apply the inked sponge to your paper. Here is a link to good YouTube video that goes over the uses of these daubers and also tips for storage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTNiGk2Gk0A By: datagoddess1260 (09-Apr-18) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • When using daubers, is it necessary to clean after each use if you only plan on using that dauber for a specific color?   By: HSUMom (18-Sep-17) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • I never clean my daubers. The paper soaks up most of the ink and as these go on sale, I stock up so that each dauber is assigned its own color. But even if that is not an option for you, use yellows with yellows, blues with blues. You won't get cross-contamination with the colors. Have fun! These are great!!! • not at all - Better not to clean and let them "season". The more you use the easier it is to blend the colors. By: Bmcg908 (19-Sep-17) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
