I am soooo glad that I purchased this! I needed to punch holes in a project that the smaller crop a dile just wouldn't reach. It is a bit big and bulky but well worth the money spent if you don't like hammering. It also cuts through cd's and chipboard like butter. I have to admit I don't use it every day but it's a really good feeling to know that I do have it when I need it. I have now put the old eyelet setter, hole punch and hammer in the dinosaur box.

I love my big bite. I used to hate eyelets now I can't get enough of them. The guide makes it easy to make a straight row of holes and embellishments. The big bite is quiet so when I'm working late at night I don't wake the whole house up!
I would recommend the Big Bite as a must have tool for any beginning scrapper.....right there with a good paper trimmer and very sharp scissors.

I purchased this item apporximately 2 months ago and I Love it!! Can't imagine what I did without it!! So veristle and easy to use!! I use it all the time to punch holes, set eyelets and create wonderful tags! This reaches all over your 12 X12 pages with ease. The operation of the Big bite is smooth and creates clear, crisp, holes for adding eyelets or for adding an extra touch to any LO. I highly recommend this to any scraperholic!!!

The Crop a Dile II big bite is totally Fabulous! It is so easy and versatile. I can use it for a small card to set embellishments or reach the center of my 12x12 layouts. This tool has made it so much easier and quiet for set eyelets and snaps. Now I can work anytime, even at night, and I won't wake the house with my pounding. :)

I had first bought the smaller crop a dile and used it quite often. But there were so many things that were just out of reach.... so.... I finally broke down and bought the Big Bite & boy am I happy!!! The holes are so much easier to line up with this and I can finally punch holes anywhere on the page that I want. I love using this to make my mini albums - which I am now addicted to making!
The best dern whole puncher out there!!!

I bought this to do my December Daily album that Ali Edwards does. I was wanting to put holes in my plastic dividers and I knew that my hole puncher wasn't going to cut it. I bought this because Ali said that it worked great and it does. The feet on it keep it from slipping on the table. The grip allows you to push down firmly with all of your weight without it sliding around. The holes are accurate and you can even punch 6 inches into a page. Great product, highly recommend!!
Believe it or not, I never got into using eyelets on my pages until I recently got this tool... now I LUV using up my eyelet stash! This makes it quick & easy to set eyelets (though if you're an eyelet/Cropadile newbie like me, watching the video will be a huge help, as I had a few trial & errors instances w/ this). I ADORE how w/ this tool, I can now have brads (or eyelets, holes, whatever) in the middle of pages & no longer have to be restricted by the reach of a regular mini hole punch. Plus this is easy to use, it doesn't take a lot of muscle to set eyelets or punch holes. I let this sit in its packaging for a few weeks after I received this because I wanted to be good & ready to digest all the instructions... when I learned how simple it was to use, I couldn't believe I had waited so long to put this to action! Love the different settings/functions, the ruler, all of that. Sure it's a little pricey for some budgets but it's worthwhile because it's a VERY useful tool for most scrappers... it is certainly not gathering dust in my space!

I just received my Big Bite yesterday, and let me just say, I AM IMPRESSED!! I never had the original CAD, though I had wanted one. The thing that kept me from getting the original was the lack of reach, so when I saw this one, I was chomping at the bit for it! Until now I have been using the old hammer style and silent setters, which I have to say, mine was NOT silent. There was always a loud POP when I tried to use it. I say tried, because half the time it wouldn't go all the way through my paper. So far I have only tried the Big Bite on cardstock, but I have to say, this thing punches holes like it's going through butter. Now, on to the issues... The little blocks you turn to select the type of item you are trying to set (eyelets, gromlets, snaps) have tiny little letters and numbers on them that can be difficult to see. If you are far sighted in any way, GET OUT YOUR GLASSES! Also, Punching holes is a breeze to figure out, and the instruction sheet is Very clear when it comes to setting gromlets( gromlet and paper both go upsidedown), but the instructions for eyelets left a little to be desired (at least in my opinion) I did it wrong the first time, and it just crushed my eyelet. Luckily I was working on a practice piece of cardstock. The second time, I didn't even follow the instructions, I just decided to try it a different way than I had the first time, and lo and behold, it worked perfectly! Just in case anyone else is confused about the eyelet setting...
1. punch hole for eyelet
2. put eyelet into hole, right side up
3. put paper containing eyelet into the Big Bite right side up!
4. make sure the little post on the top block goes into the eyelet
hole and press.
Hope you enjoy your Big Bite as much as I know I will!!

I bought the Crop-A-Dile Big Bite during it's debut on a TV shopping program ~ from the very day it arrived, I have LOVED it! It punches through cardstock, thin metal, and chipboard very easily! VERY rarely will I complete a LO without using this tool, and more often than not, use it multiple times for different embellishments on one LO. I recently used it to punch holes in THICK alpha chipboard, then set eyelets into them without a single hitch (the eyelets were for ribbon ~ was testing to see if this handy-dandy item could set an eyelet well in thick cardboard ~ it did!). I even use it to punch holes for larger brads (no more bent posts!).
I LOVE the reach of this tool!! I never bought the original crop-a-dile specifically because the reach was so short. I like to put everything on a page, THEN add my eyelets, brads, grommets, etc.. so a short reach would not do me any good at all. The Big Bite will go ALL THE WAY into a 12" x 12" LO, and allows you to space your embellishments any way you like, consistently, every time.
For those of you with hand-strength problems (I've got somewhat weak wrists), no need to worry about Big Bite! Very little pressure is needed to punch holes or set embellishments, and it sits on the table top, so you don't have to try to balance the weight of the tool (it's no feather weight tool!) while punching or setting. Also, the handle is nicely padded, so no parts are gouging you while pressure is being applied.
I agree with earlier reviews in that the blocks are numbered/lettered very small, so if you have close-up vision problems, keep your glasses handy. That isn't a problem for me so ~ the ONLY negative thing I can say about this product is that the grommet feature can be a pain. You must set the grommets upside-down, which means you can't get perfect grommet placement 100% of the time. However, it WILL punch a grommet through multiple layers ~ I did a LO where the Big Bite set a grommet through ric-rac, fibers, & 2 layers of cardstock!! Nothing else on the market can do THAT!
so, to make my very long story short.... I LOVE THIS TOOL!! Will recommend it to anyone who asks 100% of the time!

I bought it! I bought it! I could not resist this time around. I had it sitting in a pile of tools, and I had not opened it yet. I decided to finally open it, and I totally LOVE this tool. I think it's pretty pricey, but it's a great hole punch and setter. I love that it reaches into the middle of the page unlike the original CAD. It's quiet, so no banging with hammers just like the original, and it requires absolutely no effort on my part. I just push down, and it makes the punch. The ruler is handy as well, so that you know where you are on the paper. It took me a couple of tries to figure out where it was going to punch the hole, but now I don't have problems. Just practice a couple of times before you actually do it on a layout! Oh, and I had to test it... Yes, it punches right through metal, acrylic board, chipboard, and fabric.
Get it!
