What is an SVG File?
SVG is an acronym for Scalable Vector Graphic. This type of vector file is compatible with most cutting machines because it contains specific information about the direction of the cuts and can communicate that information to the cutting blade. SVG files are most commonly used with Cricut machines!
The word 'scalable' comes to play because with an SVG you are able to size and scale the image file and not lose any of the incredible detail, unlike a JPG or PNG file. This makes SVG files way more versatile so you can cater the file to any project you might be working on!
