This is my first Christmas card for Cindi's challenge for the month of May. Cindi, hopefully, I'll be posting more. I've already die cut the images. Thank you for the challenge.

The little poinsettias were part of an image swap or a RAK. Lianna, did I get these from you? Linda? Dymphie? Thank you to whoever sent them to me.

Nora S and I were trying out her new Spectrum Noir Markers so that's what I used on these flowers. I colored the red flower first, and I had trouble blending the colors. There are about four different pinks and reds on that one. Then I colored the pink flower, and I used the blender marker to pick up the color from the other markers and colored with the blender. That worked better for me.

CARD:
4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Bazzill Cardstock

IMAGE:
Stamps--unknown
Markers--Spectrum Noir
Sparkle N Sprinkle Semi-Transparent Glitter, Sunny Daze (on center of flowers)
Sakura Glue Pen (to apply the glitter)
Tombow Marker, black (on the edges of the flowers)

MATS:
Spellbinders Nestabilities, Petite Ovals
Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations Texture Fades, Poinsettia Pattern. (I used the debossed side. I thought the embossed side was too busy for this card.)

ETA: I added a second card. I used the same cardstock and the mat that I had embossed, but rejected, for the first card posted here. The impression was very deep making it too busy for my card so I put it back through the Cuttlebug on top of the embossing folder instead of inside of it. That flattened the design. I did the same thing with the front of the card base.

This card design is one of my favorites; I found it here: http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/member/5903-lbpost/1672380-happy-anniversary-paper-piecing-stamping-challenge/. [twopeasinabucket.com] I've used it before and will again. Thanks, Linda.

The image was a left-over from a set of cards I made a few years ago. It's by Ducks in a Row. http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/member/108705-djc/1673996-sof10-three-challenges-plus-monthly-challenge-2/. [twopeasinabucket.com] This time the mat pale green mat is 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 inches; the card is still 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches.

I used Recollections faux pearl stickers in the center of the flower and at the bottom of the card. I died the ones at the bottom with Piñata Alcohol Ink, Sangría.
