I made these cards to send to Sandy (colourful). She'll put them in with a ton of cards from folks all over the country (and quite possibly, from overseas). She's going to send them to US and Canadian troops deployed in Iraq and South Korea, so they, in turn, have cards to send to loved ones back home.Normally, I make pretty elaborate cards. But, because of the challenge of sending a lightweight card, I had to make sure I didn't go overboard with embellishments. I want to make sure that all they had to do was place one stamp …. not two or three …. so their card could make it home without postage hassles. This project is also a great way for me to get rid of a lot of scrap paper I have in my bags.
