Beautiful selfie picture! Your story to get there is inspiring in of itself! congratulations on finishing the race, I can imagine how distracting it was to run through Disneyland and not take a photo! Your layout is beautiful, love all the "pixie dust" along with the color scheme.
Ok what are the odds that even I had a picture of me in front of the castle ready to be scrapped but I didn't do that one? The only difference was that I was wearing a raincoat/poncho and you have wings. Love this page. Love the misting and the tinker bell stickers.
You have great misting talents! Love your background. Congrats on finishing. I can't believe it you did it three weeks after delivery. You are superwoman.
Congrats to you on making that run! My knee would have buckled after the first 10 feet! LOL Don't blame you for stopping to get sefies, what a treat that must have been to go through the backstage areas!! Anyway,Love this! The selfie is great and I love the Tink quotes! Super page!
You go girl!!! I can't run to save my life. This LO is so fun and really enhances the fun of the run. I bet the 2nd page of this double page LO is going to be great!!!
Love the inking and all of the Tinkerbells! I enjoyed reading the story. Seems like the deck was certainly stacked against you but YOU MADE IT!!!! Congrats. :)
I'm so glad you were able to run! How fun to be running behind the scenes and through Sleeping Beauty's castle. Love the LO. Tink is perfectly poised over your photo.
Beautiful lo, love Tinkerbell popped out doing her thing :)
I don't know how you are able to function training for a race with two kiddos and sick hubby and keep a household going while working and scrapping. YOu are an amazing lady!!!!
The colors on this are so perfect with the photo. Great that you were able to get a chance to do this. You did a lot of great embellishment with that Tinkerbell pp too.
Well this weekend got away from me. I knew I wanted to do the Theme Park challenge for NSD based on my Saturday participation in the Tinker Bell Half Marathon (I ran the 10K) Weekend, but I just never had time to sit down and actually work on the page pre-race or even after the race until late tonight - too late for the Theme Park entry... Oh well, I'm still glad I finished the page!
I signed up for the Tink Run last summer when my DD was 3 weeks old, not knowing obviously that my DH would end up in the hospital (for the third time in two months). Thankfully when all my other kid care options fell through - I should say that 'Kid Care' required someone to stay the night as I had to leave the house at 4am in order to get to Disneyland, park and walk to the starting line by the 5:30 start time - my mom was able to book a last-minute flight to come help with the kids so I didn't have to cancel the run.
And I'm SO glad I made it! It was 6 miles and I was not quite up to that distance, but I made it and ran pretty much the whole time - save taking about a thousand pictures! The race starts at that ridiculous time because they have to be done by the time the park opens due to all the road closures and the route takes you all over the park. You get to run through the backstage areas of both Disneyland and CA adventure, including an iconic run from Fantasyland through Sleeping Beauty's castle - and of course I had to take a selfie! (One of .... ahem.... many more!)
So this is also my entry for NSD Selfie and Color challenges. The Tink run colors were purple, green and pink, three of the four colors so I just added the blues and had the perfect pages in this Kaisercraft Fairy Dust line. I had also purchased that Tinker Bell paper several months ago when I saw it on sale, knowing I would scrap this experience! I'll scrap a two-pager hopefully soon with more photos - including one of my race attire, a fluffy green tutu my sister sent me that matched my green Adidas running tank, my headband that says "Just Think Happy Thoughts" and glittery white fairy wings!! (And I was actually underdressed!!) Race day was super cold. At 4:30 am when I arrived it was POURING down rain! Thankfully by the time I had to get out of my car to walk to the starting line, it had stopped raining. There were still puddles on the route, but the skies mostly cleared by the time we finished. And I was too jazzed about the race to notice that my arms had gone numb! LOL!
I used my favorite Prima mask with texture paste, misted over with the Color Bloom and then added some glittery silver Stickles. Very girlie page, but it was really fun to make! I also fussy cut the three Tinker Bells and flower and selected several quotes from that cute paper.
Also for the Sports and Girls Only challenges as well as my Hoarders challenge (no NSD twist yet). Those green flowers are ancient as are the glittery blue letters. The "Happy" title is by Little Yellow Bicycle. TFL!
