On the first day of school, the pre-k teachers took pictures of the kids and glued them on suns painted by each kid, with their mames on the back. They were hanging from the ceiling for a few days to make it easier for the teachers to learn everybody's names. This picture had been cut in the shape of a circle but it wasn't a complete circle because of the straight edge of the picture. I cut it to be a smaller circle to reduce the length of the straight edge. I matted the picture on shimmery yellow cardstock, placed sticker letters and numbers surrounding the picture and placed it back on the sun. I chalked the edges of the sun with red ink for contrast. I put rays of the same yellow cardstock on a sky background and glued the sun in the center. It is my favorite picture of my girl's first day of school.
