Only this generation of kids think 'Harry Potter' when looking at the space beneath the stairs, we older people think, 'Yea! More storage!’ something that always seems in short supply.
It's fun to do things with your sister. I can't get mine out of her antique shop long enough to do much of anything except meet for lunch occasionally.
That thing looks like it could be BAD luck if you accidentally bumped into it! Very sweet that it's been a generational hand me down. I had a Joseph's coat that I got from my grandmother, but it ended up getting frost burnt one surprise night .... that was the end of it. I was incredibly sad at the loss of it. I understand your sentimental attachment to this plant.
I love going to the farmer's market. We don't really have one CLOSE to us - most of the farmers here raise crops on a huge scale and sell to the big agra industries. I have to drive a ways to get to the closest one to us, but it's tremendously fun when I go!
They look a little confused as well. Like they took a left turn at Albuquerque and ended up lost in Texas. LOL Pretty pair though. I like the way you've organized your photos for the AGC photo challenge. I think I'll maybe try that next time. It sure keeps your feed cleaner and neater I bet!
LOL. Whenever I get home from work and catch Riley on the couch - which is leather and he is NOT supposed to be on and he knows it - he does this kind of guilty slink down onto the ground and I know you didn't see me there Mom kind of thing. It's actually hilarious. Sam is a beautiful dog. And photographing him from this angle is really a fun perspective.
I was working on my Scraplift the Person Before You layout and I knew what I was using for my inspiration: My daughter Alicia. I have included another photo of her taken last year in the fall before she went to a competition. My daughter has always been a curvy girl and struggled with her weight. The struggle has gotten worse over the years and she has had her ups and down, has done yo-yo dieting, has gotten thinner, has gained more weight. In 2015 she started working with another trainer. He has worked with her spiritually and has helped her with her confidence and taught her healthy eating habits and convinced her to stopped looking at the scale! She started taking pole classes to help with her upper body strength. In October of last year she entered a competition in Denver Co called Dangerous Curves The competition was only open to plus size women. Most of the dances were in your face-BOOM-let me give it to you kind of stuff (raunchy!), but while it was not my cup of tea, I had to give it to the women who had the confidence, strength and ability to work the pole-many in 5 inch heels. My daughter was a dancer in high school, contemporary was her favorite and that's what she dances when she does pole dancing. Not typical, but her style. She came in second place at the Denver competition. In early 2017 she started teaching contempole (contemporary and pole) classes to beginners. Her class is one of the favorites and is always full. She competed in 3 contests this year-she won all three-and this year she competed against little tiny skinny girls. You can see the confidence in her. She still frets about her weight, but knows that her weight does not define her and cannot hold her back. Oh, and her day job-she is a 5th grade math teacher.
