What a wild crazy day that was! Sheesh, I can't believe that one driver trying to drive after drinking. I am so glad he never made it to pick up anyone, because that could have been a bigger disaster. I love all your photos and really love the whole story behind the page. You super rocked the sketch! fave
Perfect bg pp for your photos. Although this sounded like a terrible day with mishaps, it sounds like it was really fun at the same time.
I would absolutely love to go way up high in a hot air balloon; we've only gone a small way up. Your title is perfect for this too and love the hidden journaling. wonderfully done page.
Like the circles with the pictures about air balloons, that looks like fun. Very clever hiding the journaling block, it blends right in with the rest of the page.
This is really cool! The circles give the lo a floating feeling - perfect for the topic! Oh Geez, a drunk bus driver? Not cool! Your journaling is awesome and I really love the font you used. I also like the way you hid it under the pic.
Whoooo-wee! Set the bar a little high, why don'tcha? Actually this is quite quirky and fun and will shove me quick a long way OUT of my comfort zone. Thanks for the great inspiration. Quite a story too!

Journaling reads: In the summer of 1991 we provided name tags for several florist conventions along the east coast. We made a summer of it and took the girls on a road trip. One of those conventions was in July in Greenville, S.C. The highlight of the weekend was an optional Saturday evening trip to the Woodfield Inn in Flat Rock N.C. We were loaded in three charter buses for the trip. The historic inn offered tours, dinner, and hot air balloons “rides”. Jim took the girls up in a balloon while I kept my feet firmly on the earth, and my camera firmly in hand. At the end of the evening we enjoyed a very nice play at the little theatre on site. We'd had a lovely day, but during the play the rain started to come down by the bucket. The buses had dropped us off and parked on the side of the road - the dirt road. One of the drivers was apparently parked in the bar most of the day, and when attempting to retrieve the bus, got it stuck in the mud in the ditch. The police were called, along with a tow truck, and the driver was taken to jail. That left us with three buses but only two drivers. The two drivers took the families and elderly back to the hotel, while volunteers waited for a new driver to come for them. The theatre crew entertained those who stayed behind. Even though the girls and I went back with one of the first buses, we were hours late returning and it made for a very long day although memorable day.
