Love the grid pattern...funny story to document, too! That was really kind of you all to get him a "car" for his parking space! LOL!! Super cute layout...and a LOT of fussy cutting!
Such a wonderfully creative design! You put a lot of thought and detail into this with stunning results! Totally love it, it is bright, cheerful and fun!
In June 2011, Benjamin was chosen as “Employee of the Month” at Airtight Design. The biggest perk for being chosen was a prime parking place just a few feet from the front door. Parking is at a premium in downtown Atlanta, especially in the Auburn Avenue area. You can take the chance of parking on the street and possibly have your car vandalized (which did happen to Joshua), or you can park in the far, far back parking lot. The funny thing about Benjamin winning at this time was that he didn’t have a driver’s license or a car!!! So, of course, we got him a car to go in his parking space :) He still keeps this little car on his desk at the office… Sarah couldn’t resist writing her witty little note on his present and Ruby thought the car was a new toy for her to chase.
I got a little too detailed with this page. The roads were fussy cut from EP Little Boy pp. I cut away all the background bits and just kept the roads. Then I layered mostly solids behind the roads with just a few prints. The I punched little cars out with Fiskars Interchangable On The Go punch. I cut the cars off of the border and added them to the roadways. Then I added stars, arrows, road signs, etc. around the page. The "title" at the top was from a pic I took of Sarah's note to Benjamin on the present wrapping. The red/white border was cut with decorative scissors. Thanks so much for stopping by :)
