  • I may have missed this question, but what is the suggested way to clean these acrylic blocks? I've noticed that some of mine are grimy I guess is the best way to describe them, just a little dusty. I got them at a garage sale.   By: Mother_Nature (07-May-25) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

  • Do you have storage containers for these blocks?   By: mcn508 (11-Mar-21) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

    • If you're referring to a travel case designed specifically to hold & protect this set of acrylic blocks (similar to the Stampin' Up! Clear Block Storage Caddy), then I believe the answer is no; I haven't seen one offered on the site, & one wasn't available when I purchased my set a couple of years ago. I notice Scrapbook.com is offering more & more exclusive products, so one might be available in the future. In the meantime, you might want to try storing your set in a photo box; that's the method I've been using, without issue or damage to the blocks, for two years. It's an inexpensive option & provides easy access storage (when crafting at home) since all the blocks can be stored together in a single box. A simple paperboard version will work, but if you want something a bit sturdier that also comes w/ a fabric lining for a little extra protection, there are fabric & leather options available. The photo box I use has an imitation leather exterior & a felt-lined interior; I found it sold among photo archival supplies in the album section, but I've seen similarly sized valet & accessory storage sold w/ drawer & jewelry organizers that would work just as well. I hope this helps. By: MandySueBillyBob (14-Mar-21) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

  • I'm just starting out with stamping and learning what I need etc... So there are several large stamps I want that indicate they are the cling kind so I know I want to get the stamp blocks. However, many of these stamps are listed as being 6" (inches) x 6" (whether they're square or the round diameters) and I'm only finding thus far the largest stamp blocks to be ~ 6-6.5" x 3-3.5" (?). Obviously then, half of these larger stamps will hang off of what's being listed as the largest blocks. Am I missing something? Any advice will certainly be greatly appreciated. :)   By: ptlinda (30-Oct-19) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

    • Hello and Welcome to Stamping! 6x6 size stamp is larger than any of the stamp blocks we currently produce. We would recommend using a travel size stamp platform to stamp a large 6x6 stamp. I hope this helps you on your new adventure in stamping!

Here is a suggestion for the travel stamp platform:

  • Can these acrylic blocks be used with a stamp positioner? Or do they need to have A straight edge? Thanks Sandy   By: Dollface0691 (07-Dec-19) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Yes they can be used with a stamp positioner. Even though the sides are wavy (to give you an excellent grip) they are symmetrical. There are many products on the market that take the place of a positioner that are well worth the cost. They save you tons on card stock because you can stamp more than once in the same exact place. • This offer was too good to pass - but I'm not a stamper so my question is probably not a smart one. Do stampers typically buy multiple blocks, one for each stamp - or do stampers remove and apply different stamps to a few, well-sized blocks? I wondered if frequent removal and re-application to the stamp blocks would damage the stamps.
Thanks.   By: leeloek (11-Mar-19) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

    • That's a great question! As a stamper myself, I buy an assortment of blocks that fit the stamps I tend to buy most, removing the stamps from the block after each use. You will enjoy buying a few sizes of blocks and reusing them with each new project. Removing them from the block will not harm photopolymer stamps at all. Hope that helps. I just got these acrylic blocks in the mail and I hope this isn't a silly question, but when you mount a clear stamp on these blocks, is the stamp supposed to stick to the side where the alignment grid is etched or the side without the lines/the completely smooth side? thanks!   By: User (04-Aug-17) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • Well, I have those and I mount the stamp on either side by lining the stamp up so it is lined up along one of the lines. I've not noticed it makes any difference on which side you mount it. • How can I use the "regular" rubber stamps with these acrylic blocks? Is there a product that I could use to convert those stamps into a cling type? I have too many of the older type of stamps to replace at this time and I would really like to be able to use them with these acrylic blocks, for better accuracy. Thank you!   By: cherscrapr (30-Oct-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • You can also use Aleene's Tack It Over & Over. It's a while glue which dries clear and tacky. I put it on the back of my unmounted red rubber stamps. It's sticky, but you can easily remove the stamp from the block and use it over and over and over. I have been using some stamps for years. • You can buy a product called EZ MOUNT MOUNTING FOAM. I have used this with several of my wood stamp sets. Very easy to use. You buy it by the sheet and it usually runs about $5. I would google it and see who sells it. By: love2cr8 (20-Jan-17) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
