All I can say is...WOW! This acrylic stamp block is PERFECT! It is nice and thick, so it's easy to hold and if you have hand problems (I do), you shouldn't have any issues at all. I have used many different kinds of blocks for stamping and I must say these Umbrella Crafts - Perfect Clear Acrylic Stamp Block Kit are the best. They are so easy to hold because of the curved edges and they are solid without being heavy. I was suspicious of this item because of its price, but I decided to give it a try. I was very pleased with the quality. You get 3 blocks that could easily take care of all of your stamping needs. I saw these on sale and needed some extra for crafting with friends or multiples of the same size stamps. I purchased two sizes. I like the grid for lining up the stamp both when applying to the block and for stamping onto paper. Very helpful. I also like the height of the block, which prevents me from getting ink on my fingers when loading the stamp. Also, on sale they were a great price.

I'm newish to stamping, and had been using really cheap acrylic blocks that were 1/4" thick. A few months ago I bought a set that were just under half an inch, and thought those were amazing - less ink on my fingers and easier to hold. When I saw this set was on such an awesome sale, I decided to see if another 1/4" would make a difference. Oh holy cow! It seems silly, but it really, really does. I now get NO ink on my fingers when stamping, and my small hands can hold them comfortably. I hope they'll eventually make them in bigger sizes. These are great for most of my needs, but I do have a few background stamps that won't fit the biggest in the set.

I may have missed this question, but what is the suggested way to clean these acrylic blocks? I've noticed that some of mine are grimy I guess is the best way to describe them, just a little dusty. I got them at a garage sale.

If you're referring to a travel case designed specifically to hold & protect this set of acrylic blocks (similar to the Stampin' Up! Clear Block Storage Caddy), then I believe the answer is no; I haven't seen one offered on the site, & one wasn't available when I purchased my set a couple of years ago. I notice Scrapbook.com is offering more & more exclusive products, so one might be available in the future. In the meantime, you might want to try storing your set in a photo box; that's the method I've been using, without issue or damage to the blocks, for two years. It's an inexpensive option & provides easy access storage (when crafting at home) since all the blocks can be stored together in a single box. A simple paperboard version will work, but if you want something a bit sturdier that also comes w/ a fabric lining for a little extra protection, there are fabric & leather options available. The photo box I use has an imitation leather exterior & a felt-lined interior; I found it sold among photo archival supplies in the album section, but I've seen similarly sized valet & accessory storage sold w/ drawer & jewelry organizers that would work just as well. I hope this helps.

I'm just starting out with stamping and learning what I need etc... So there are several large stamps I want that indicate they are the cling kind so I know I want to get the stamp blocks. However, many of these stamps are listed as being 6" (inches) x 6" (whether they're square or the round diameters) and I'm only finding thus far the largest stamp blocks to be ~ 6-6.5" x 3-3.5" (?). Obviously then, half of these larger stamps will hang off of what's being listed as the largest blocks. Am I missing something? Any advice will certainly be greatly appreciated. :)

Hello and Welcome to Stamping! 6x6 size stamp is larger than any of the stamp blocks we currently produce. We would recommend using a travel size stamp platform to stamp a large 6x6 stamp. I hope this helps you on your new adventure in stamping!

The measurements of the large acrylic block are 6.25" x 3.5" x .75". The grid lines that are etched into the block are each 1/2" Hope this helps! :)

Yes they can be used with a stamp positioner. Even though the sides are wavy (to give you an excellent grip) they are symmetrical. There are many products on the market that take the place of a positioner that are well worth the cost. They save you tons on card stock because you can stamp more than once in the same exact place.
